Welcome to Beautiful Fork
Beautiful Fork takes its name from the Belle Fourche River (Beautiful Fork in French, of course), which runs through our farm, and for which our nearest town is also named.

At Beautiful Fork, we offer high-quality pasture-grown beef. Beautiful Fork cattle are born in the Belle Fourche River valley. They spend the summer grazing with their mothers on Western South Dakota's prairie grasslands, and return for the winter to the shelter of the river country, where they graze tame pastures. They are finished on irrigated alfalfa and grass pastures. You can learn more about how we grow our beef on our Production Methods page.

We strive to produce our beef in such a way as to ensure healthy food for the consumer, humane treatment for the animals, and environmental sustainability for the land. Our animals live out their lives on pastures and rangeland rather than in a feedlot, and they eat grass and other forages rather than concentrated grain rations. They are not given hormones or chemical feed additives. Our butchering is done locally, at a Federally inspected, certified Organic facility.
